- Covers small undesirable areas. - Needs to match and blend with the surrounding texture and lighting. - Size needs to be larger than the width of the area. - Single click to repair small blemishes or drag to repair a larger area.
- Replace an entire selected area with similar area. - Drag the selection across to an undamaged area and release.
- Applied to a selection. - Useful for removing unwanted objects. - Make a selection around the object to be removed. Make it a little larger to avoid colour fringes. - Choose Edit>Fill(shift-F5)
- Allows you to choose other appropriate areas of the image to use. - Size needs to be larger than the width of the area. - Option/Alt-click an area of your image that is similar to the area you want to retouch. - Click and drag along the problem area. Release the mouse every now and then, so that you can cover the area in small sections.
- Useful for patching up areas with fine details or sharp edges, and also making direct copies of parts of an image.
- Allows you to move an object in an image from one position to another. - Tries to blend the edges of the object to fit seamlessly into the new position.
