New Unscramble Words! Put in play your listening activities, definitions and sentences

20th of May 2022

Easy and engaging: Teach any phrase or list of words with the second renewed game

New Unscramble Words

“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn”. Maybe your learnt famous quotes like this one from Benjamin Frankling just reading them one, but it will be easier, funnier and more efective with this Unscramble Words game.

A month after renewing the Unscramble Letters game, today we launch the new version of her first cousin, the Unscramble Words.

Try the new interface, the new editor, and new features like creating a game with two or more sentences placed in different screens, or  using line breaks to divide the text in a screen.

Create a listening comprehension game, perfect to familiarize your students with the pronunciation and writing of a second language.

Upload your audio files or record them from the editor. They will autoplay when the game screen loads, your players will see the transcript with the words jumbled up and they will have to put them in the correct place.

Use the Unscramble Words for you literary games with poems or song lyrics, or to present definitions of concepts, for example.

In addition to sentences, you can also create the game with just a list of words, like in this chronological order game with a list of artistic movements.

Use audio but also text, images and animated gifs to give as clues on top of the jumbled sentence.

Players can click on a word to change it for the one in the active square, or drag and drop it to replace it with the one they want.

Nuevo Ordenar Letras

By default, the editor creates the games without lives or time limits, but you can put them if you want to give your players extra motivation.

Another update around the corner

There are three Educaplay games with which you can enjoy the new interface and the new editor (Froggy Jumps, Unscramble Letters and Unscramble Words).

It's a matter of days before we put the forth in your hands: another new version of one of our classic games.

At the same time we are working to bring you a new game as soon as possible, and on improvements to make Educaplay more useful, easy and intuitive.

See you soon!

¡New Unscramble Letters! Lots of words and lotta game

06th of April 2022

Create games with many words or sentences with the first renewed activity from Educaplay

New Unscramble Letters

Create Unscramble Letters games with many words or sentences thanks to the new version of the activity. We improved it from head to toe, with an editor and a game interface like the one Froggy Jumps has.

On a touch device, your players can tap a letter to change it for the one in the active square, or drag and drop it to replace it with the one they want.

On a computer, they can use the keyboard to type or the mouse to click or drag and drop.

You have an optional space to give a question or clue combining text, audio, images or animated gifs.

Question or clue with thext, audio, pictures or animated gifs

If you are a Premium user, you can set a background image in the activity, which will be shown before starting and during the game.

The game editor has lives and time limits turned off by default, but you can change this for a plus of excitement, allowing them a maximum number of mistakes, or a given number of seconds to sort each word.

New games and new versions on the way

In the coming months we are going to improve all our activities so that the editor and the game interface are just as exciting and friendly as this one.

At the same time, we will take the opportunity to change and add the things that you have asked us for so that you can get the most out of each type of game.

Being able to create Unscrable Letters games with more than one word or phrase was a frequent demand. That is why we chose this activity to be the first one to be renewed.

We are also working to bring you new games. The next one will be one many Educaplayers have asked us for.

Power-ups for your integrations with Google Classroom and Microsoft Teams

16th of March 2022

Upload a game to more than one class at a time and decide to save the grade of the best attempt or of the first one

Más poder para tus integraciones con Google Classroom y Microsoft Teams

We made two improvements to increase the power of your integrations of Educaplay games to Google Classroom and Microsoft Teams.

First, say goodbye to upload the same game again and again to all your classes of 5th grade, for example.

The screen will show you all the classes you have on your Classroom or Teams account, and then you will be able to select the three of them to upload the game on all of them at the same time.

Secondly, you can choose what grade you want to save in Google Classroom or Microsoft Teams when a student plays an activity more than once: the first one or the best one.

Upload game to more than one class at a time and save best or first grade

Let’s say a player scores 60 the first time she plays a game you integrated in Google Classroom. Then she plays once more and gets 100, the perfect score.

Until now, Google Classroom would save the 60, and the following attempts would not affect this grade.

From now on, when you choose “First grade” it works like this, but if you choose “Best grade”, when the player finishes the second attempt, the 60 in your gradebook will turn into a 100.

So now you can decide to reward players who play your games more than once trying to improve their score in Classroom or Teams.

Schedule and set deadlines

You probably know you can schedule your Google Classroom and Microsoft Teams assignments setting a day and time to start submitting, and a deadline.

When you integrate an Educaplay game in those platforms, you can do the same.

You just need to click on “Save draft in...” instead of “Publish to…”.

Schedule and set deadlines

Once you do that, you can go to the Classroom or Teams classes where you created the draft, and change the options you want (schedule, deadline…) before publishing the assignment.

We wish you find this helpful! Please find us at support@educaplay.com or at our social media for any doubt, question or comment.

What would you like to see improved next in our integrations with Google Classroom and Microsoft Teams?

More than 10.000 Froggy Jumps created during the first month: Ten thousand thanks to you!

19th of January 2022

10.000 Froggy Jumps and counting

Educaplayers have created more than 10.000 Froggy Jumps since a month ago we put the new game in your hands.

The people on the Educaplay team are so grateful for this welcome. Ten thousand thanks to you!

It is a pleasure to work for you and this is the best reward to the months full of effort behind the decision of jumping to another level with you educaplayers.

This jump means more games for you, improving the ones you had, and a new editor so you can create them easier and fast.

We are working flat out creating another new game.

We are also updating the classics so the player experience is as good as the one in Froggy Jumps, and to add new options you asked for.

At the same time, you are going to see little changes in our website, always with the goal of making it easier to do or find whatever you need.

Stay tuned for the upcoming news about those changes.

Meanwhile, you can see all the Froggy Jumps created clicking here, and then you can filter them by language, country, words…

You can also play Animal Wisdom, the first Froggy Jumps we gave you to try it before being able to create them. Remember that if you get a 100, you can still win the Froggy Jumps backpack with this game.

(NEW!) Duplicate games from other players and publish them changing what you want

13th of October 2021

Video duplicate activities from other users

With just two clicks you can copy any activity from other educaplayers and create your own version

Being able to create activities from those of other users is one of the features that you educaplayers have asked us the most. Now you can do it and it's very easy.

Just open the activity you want to copy, click on the three dots that appear right to the "Share" button, and choose the option "Duplicate and create my own version".

Button duplicate activities from other users

With just two clicks you will be able to generate on your profile a copy of a public activity from any other user, to upload it as it is or to edit it by changing whatever you want.

By doing this you will create a draft of that activity on your profile. Then all you have to do is clicking on the "Edit" button and on "Publish activity" after making the changes you need.

No wonder this is one of the most popular suggestions you have made us. This makes it possible to make the most of the repository of more than 4 million Educaplay public activities.

Until now you were able to use all those activities to play them, to share them, to inspire you or even to make them part of your challenges (My challenges). As of September 15, you can simply use them as if they were one of your activities.

Link to the original activity

Link to the original activity

Having a user create a version of your activity is an honor worthy of recognition. Therefore, when an activity has been created from a duplicate of another, the title and link of the original activity will be displayed in the copy. Specifically, in the "Created by ..." section, the text "This activity is a version of ..." will appear, followed by the title with the link.

Not available for private activities

Privacity options

Activities marked as "Private", "Hidden" or "Only groups" by Premium users cannot be duplicated.

These activities can only be seen and played by a few people chosen by the author, and those few people will not see the option “Duplicate and create my own version” when they click on the three dots.

Allowing other users to copy activities is a general request and is consequent with our philosophy that users can create and play as many times as they want for free if their creations contribute to the educational community.

However, maybe not everyone thinks the same, and we understand that it is possible that some users do not want to allow their activities to be duplicated. To avoid this they can remove them from the public space, either by making them private or by eliminating them.
