out
to
change
them
when
they
are
bad

in
spite
of
difficulties
or
criticisms
.
This
angel

group
.
She

of
British
parents
in
Florence
,
Italy
,
on
May
12
,
1820
.
Fortunately
for
her
,
they
were
wealthy
and
cultured
,
and
she

receive
the
fine
education
of
young
women
of
her
days
,
plus
classical
studies
and
mathematics
.
In
addition
,
the
family

extensively
in
Europe
,
and
this
____________________
her
and
her
sister
opportunities
for
learning
more
.
Some
people
have
a
calling
for
art
,
or
for
religion
,
or
for
politics
,
she

calling
for
helping
the
sick

Unfortunately
girls

especially
high
society
girls
,

supposed
to
work
,
and
nurses
were
considered
almost
like
servants
.
In

two

training
schools
for
nurses
in
England

She

hospital
of
the
Sisters

Mercy

learn

short
periods
of
training
,
but
she
was
interested
and

intelligent
