Tristan - A Visit

Tristan de Cunha was exactly the way I imagined. Overcast
at first, but then the light came into play. And I climbed to
the top of the volcanic mound from the 1962 eruption.
Today the island is a perky little place. It's fun looking at
the yards and to see peoples' places. It's also very clean.
I can drink straight from the stream that is silted by the
volcano. And I head out on the island's bus, which goes to
the potato patches. Tristan de Cunha feels a lot like Scotland
or Ireland: there are herds of sheep up in the mountains.I
just love the very peaceful and open vibe of the place. The people
of Tristan speak English; so it's fun to see them, meet with them;
and see the skills they have.You find out what life is like in such
