The critical link between the Volunteer Expert Committees and USP who serves as the conduit for all scientific research, information, and testing as it relates to the documentary standards and reference materials for articles admitted into its compendia.

This USP employee is a member of the Board of Trustees, ex officio, without vote. This person or his/her designee shall serve as Chair of the Council of Experts. S/he appoints the Convention Secretary and may appoint advisory bodies to advance the work of the Council of Experts and The Convention.

This member of the Board of Trustees reviews the work of USP’s auditors and, along with the auditors, as appropriate, presents the audited financial statement to the Board of Trustees.

This USP employee is responsible for the minutes of the meetings of the Board and Membership Meetings. S/he is responsible for formal notifications (as specified in the bylaws). This same person performs these same duties for the Council of the Convention, the Nominating Committee for Officers and Trustees, the Nominating Committee for the Council of Experts, and the Governance Committee.
