BC Jesuits Quiz

This Jesuit released an annual lineup of his favorite novels, biographies, histories, and other books, which he named the “Dean’s List of Recommended Reading” which became an anticipated yearly tradition on the BC campus.

A brilliant fundraiser, this Jesuit elevated BC’s research, teaching, and athletic profiles to levels of high distinction. A consequence of this was that he frequently associated with prestigious figures such as former U.S. Presidents like Ronald Reagan, Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, and George H.W. Bush.

This Jesuit is the director of the newly established Institute for Advanced Jesuit Studies at Boston College, a new initiative that seeks to promote the Society of Jesus’ history, spirituality, pedagogy, and leadership within Jesuit apostolates.

This Jesuit began his teaching career at Baghdad College, a Jesuit high school in Baghdad, Iraq, and currently serves on BC’s English department faculty. He said the most exciting conversations in his life were those held with Robert Frost and Sir Colin Davis.

This Jesuit was appointed as dean of the Morrissey College of Arts and Sciences in 2015 after serving as the interim dean following David Quigley’s transition to provost and dean of faculties.
