(Neurontin) / anti-epileptic / also used for pain and anxiety = "Why are you taking this?"
(DIlantin) / *focal & generalized sz; status epilepticus / induces CYP450 = lots of drug intx / non-linear kinetics = monitor levels / 1/2 life: 8-60 hrs, highly individualized dosage, bad AE
Anti-epileptic / Teratogenic risk 4x higher than other AEDs
(Cymbalta) / SNRI / For depression / Also commonly used for chronic pain
(Aricept) / Cholinesterase inhibitor / For Alzhemier's / May improve quality of life & cognitive function in some pts (most useful in early disease)
(Ativan) / Benzodiazepine / Immediate effects, duration: 11-20 hrs / Also used for: EtOH withdrawal, N/V from chemo, insomnia from anxiety/stress, sedation, status epilepticus, premed for anesthesia
