Competition Concentration
1. You will be playing the familiar game of concentration.
2. The goal is to find matches of each of the resources necessary for your organism’s survival—pairs of water, food, and shelter. (Each organism has different resources that it needs, except they all need water.) Each
player only gets one attempt to match each turn—no matter the outcome.
3. When it is your turn, you may flip over two cards from the grid. Use the table below to figure out what to do for each scenario. (The table will be in Google Classroom) Record your data in your Individual Data Table for each round.
4. As soon as someone matches all their organism’s resources, that organism wins, and the round is over. You survived! Put a checkmark on row 8. If you did not get all three of your resources and did not die out during the round, put a checkmark on row 9.
5. Play four rounds of the game. Rotate organisms each time you start a new round until every person has been each organism.
