Welcome involvement and maintain eye contact. Use their name and ask them questions, but make sure they could answer them.
Sit next to the person and keep eye contact minimum. Welcome their input, but ask for the opinions of others.
Remain calm. For those that go too far, don’t debate with them.
Ensure all can see the meeting objectives. Use a flipchart to note down unrelated issues to be dealt with later.
