Play Matching Pairs

Students will complete the JASON's Project lesson for thermal energy. During this time the students will be able to investigate the 3 forms of thermal energy with a station lab. During this time the expectations are students should make a claim, provide evidence, and provide reasoning that makes a connection between the claim and evidence.

Students will create a Sway, PPT, or student selected tools where they will compare and contrast the forms of thermal energy, and provide real-world examples of where the forms of thermal energy can be found.

Students will complete a Venn Diagram with 3 different sections, where they will compare and contrast the different forms of thermal energy.

Students will complete thermal energy Nearpod.  During the Nearpod students will be given different pictures and identify the form of thermal energy being displayed before them.

The students will watch a whole class demonstration for the topic of thermal energy called "Spread Out" The demonstration will prompt conversation about heat and how it travels. Based on the information students provide guide them into the different forms of heat energy.
