Money that has few regulations and can be used for party building activities as well as commercials about relevant issues just as long as it is not done in direct correlation with a candidate's campaign.
A group wished to release a movie discussing Hillary Clinton which could be seen as damaging to her character. They were met with backlash and the ruling of the decision brought into question the legitimacy of the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002
An attempt to limit soft money and to stop Campaign Nearing activities.
Money that is regulated by the Federal Election Committee and has a cap on how much can be donated to a political party.
