A group of island close together form an archipielago 13 Continental Shelf. The undersea of a continent that descends gradually to depths of around 400 mts. 14 Continental Slope. A steep underwater area that links the continental shelf with the ocean floor. 15 Abyssal plain . A flat area of ocean floor found at depths beween 3000 to 7000 mts. 16 Oceanic trench.
