There are two main mindsets we can practise in our daily lives : growth and fixed . Having a mindset means believing that you can improve through hard work and persistence . Having a mindset means believing you can't change or improve through hard work . If you have a growth mindset , you will after challenges and instead of giving up . Children with growth mindset are able to view failures as to learn and grow . When you have a growth mindset , you are more to try something new too . You are less likely to get when you aren't able to master a new skill straight away and you will forward to your goals . Having a growth mindset teaches us that it is important to get to constantly ourselves . Children with growth mindset are more open - minded towards receiving feedback from teachers and peers . Thus , It is important to a growth mindset since young .
