Carl you first. Carl As a proponent of standardized testing I feel it is a fair and objective way of measuring a student's achievements. Standardized tests ensure that teachers and schools are held accountable to taxpayers and the public Sam And Eric what do you think? Eric I disagree. Standardized testing is not fair nor objective, it promotes teaching a narrow curriculum, and encourages teaching to the test that focuses on memorization of facts rather than developing crucial critical thinking skills. Sam You’ve both made excellent points. Hopefully in the near future there will be a compromise that takes the best aspects of both sides and creates a new and better education system.
