Εξήγηση

Πηγή Σεδούντα: εδώ γίνεται η υδροληψία από φυσική πηγή ξεκινώντας έτσι το ταξίδι του νερού προς τις βρύσες μας για την ευρύτερη περιοχή του Πλωμαρίου.

Εδώ, όπως και σε άλλα σημεία γίνεται η χλωρίωση του νερού. Η διαδικασία αυτή ορίζεται από το νόμο και είναι απαραίτητη για την απολύμανση του νερού.

Εδώ αποθηκεύεται το νερό σε κατάλληλες δεξαμενές και στη συνέχεια διανέμεται στις βρύσες των σπιτιών μας, του σχολείου, στις δημόσιες βρύσες κτλ.

Το νερό φτάνει στα σπίτια μας μέσω ενός μεγάλου δικτύου σωληνώσεων. Σε πολλά σημεία επίσης γίνονται συχνά δειγματοληψίες για τον περαιτέρω έλεγχο της ποιότητας του νερού.

Το νερό καταλήγει στην αποχέτευση και από εκεί ένα ποσοστό από αυτό μεταφέρεται στον βιολογικό καθαρισμό του Πλωμαρίου όπου και επεξεργάζεται για να διατεθεί απαλλαγμένο από τους περισσότερους ρύπους στη θάλασσα.
