Explicación

Canada was once a British colony, but over time, it became more independent, starting with the British North America Act in 1867 and fully gaining independence in 1982.

India remained under British control for almost two centuries, playing a key role in the British Empire's economy and trade. India gained independence on August 15, 1947, following a long struggle led by figures like Mahatma Gandhi, marking the end of British colonial rule in the region.

The area was first occupied by the Dutch, but came under British control after the Napoleonic Wars.

The United States was originally 13 British colonies along the eastern coast of North America. These colonies were governed by Britain, but over time, tensions grew due to issues like taxes and lack of representation in British Parliament. This led to the American Revolution (1775–1783), in which the colonies fought for their independence.

New Zealand was the first country to grant women the right to vote in 1893, making it a pioneer in women's suffrage.

Jamaica was colonized by the British in 1655 when it was captured from the Spanish. It became a major part of the British Empire, known for its sugar plantations, which were worked by enslaved Africans.

Nigeria was one of the most important colonies in the British Empire due to its vast resources, including oil, minerals, and agricultural products.

Ireland gained independence as the Irish Free State in 1922, with Northern Ireland remaining part of the United Kingdom.
