Haemostasis is the ability of blood to clot following a wound or trauma. The bleeding time test is done to determine how long it takes for the body to stop a bleed after an injury.

Explanation

Failure to start the timing as soon as the incision is made will decrease the bleeding time.

If the pressure is different from the standardized 40mmHg, the interpretation of the result would be against an incorrect reference range

The removal of excess blood with blotting paper should never disturb the clotting process
