You use modifiers like almost, just, or nearly with as...as. For example, My sister is almost as tall as me. Mia Right! And you can also say as tall as I am. Both are correct. Sarah Oh! So you can use a pronoun with or without a verb? Jenn Exactly. And don’t forget, you can use numbers too. Like, Our new apartment is twice as big as the old one or The vacation cost three times as much as I expected. Mia And when comparing with adjectives like better or more careful, use much, a lot, or far for big differences — like He’s driving a lot more carefully now. Sarah What about small differences? Jenn Then you say a little or slightly, like She’s a little better today or Speak a bit more quietly, please. Mia Oh!
