Explanation

Photosynthesis is the process by which green plants use sunlight to convert carbon dioxide from the air and water from the soil into glucose (a type of sugar) for energy.

Oxygen is a byproduct of photosynthesis because water is split during the process to provide electrons and hydrogen for building sugars oxygen is simply the leftover part of the water molecule.

Animals (including humans) take in oxygen when they breathe and use it to break down food in their cells to produce energy. This process is called respiration.

Decomposition is the natural process in which bacteria, fungi, and other decomposers break down the bodies of dead plants and animals into simpler substances.

Fossil fuels are natural energy sources like coal, oil, and natural gas. They were formed from the buried remains of dead plants and animals that lived millions of years ago. Over time, heat and pressure turned these remains into carbon-rich materials.

In factories, combustion occurs when fossil fuels like coal, oil, or natural gas are burned to produce energy. This process not only generates power but also releases pollutants into the atmosphere, contributing to air pollution and climate change.
