Immunity and inactivation i.e. detoxification

Bile storage

Concentration of bile

Release of bile into the intestine

Fat digestion assistance

Regulation of bile flow

94% reabsorption & recycling of bile acids

Absorption in distal intestine

Transport to the liver

Bile acid synthesis and secretion into bile

500 ml secreted /day

on average bile salts circuit 17 times before being excreted in feces

2.5 gm of bile secreted by liver each day

1 to 2 grams cholesterol secreted in bile/day

cholelithtiasis - gall stones

cholecystitis - gall bladder inflammaton

gall stones -fat female in forties

Enteritis and hepatitis inhibits absorption of bile salts & cause lipid malabsorption

Fatty acids and amino acids in duodenum release CCK - gallbladder contraction

Neural - vagal stimulation - increases bile production

hormone secretin increases water and HCO3 − content of bile

choleretics increase secretion of bile, e.g. bile slats, vagus, secretin

Cholagogues cause contraction of gallbladder to increase output of bile, e.g. cholecystokinin, fatty acids

You can integrate the game into an LMS compatible with LTI 1.1 or LTI 1.3 such as Canvas, Moodle, or Blackboard. This way, the scores will be automatically saved into the platform’s gradebook.
