Explicación

Aquí vivimos y ocurren fenómenos meteorológicos como lluvia, nubes y vientos. Contiene la mayor parte del aire y se extiende de unos 6 km en los polos hasta 20 km en el ecuador.

Aquí se encuentra la capa de ozono, que absorbe gran parte de la radiación ultravioleta del Sol, protegiendo la vida. Los aviones a reacción suelen volar en su parte baja porque es más estable.

Es la capa más fría de la atmósfera. Aquí se desintegran la mayoría de los meteoritos que entran a la Tierra, evitando que impacten en la superficie.

La temperatura puede superar los 1,000 °C debido a la radiación solar. Aquí se producen las auroras boreales y australes. También orbitan satélites de baja altitud.

Es la capa más externa y difusa de la atmósfera. Sus partículas son muy escasas y se confunden con el espacio exterior. Aquí orbitan satélites artificiales y la Estación Espacial Internacional.
