Figure 3 (below). The celiac trunk (a) is the first unpaired branch of the abdominal aorta (asterisk). It is very short and then divides into three branches: the splenic artery (b) supplying the spleen (c), common hepatic artery (e) supplying the liver (d), and the left gastric artery (f) supplying the stomach (g).
