Karena timur laut termasuk arah pertengahan antara timur dengan utara, terletak di 45 derajat

Barat laut terjadi karena antara utara dan barat, terletak 315 derajat

Tenggara terjadi karena antara timur dan selatan, terletak di 135 derajat

Barat daya terjadi di antara barat dan selatan, terletak di 225 derajat
