Explicación

Se oxida y se le añade un fosfato inorgánico; se forma NADH y 1,3-bisfosfoglicerato, iniciando la fase energética de la glucólisis.

Transfiere un fosfato al ADP mediante fosforilación a nivel de sustrato, produciendo ATP y 3-fosfoglicerato.

El fosfato se mueve al carbono 2 formando 2-fosfoglicerato, reorganizando la molécula sin gasto ni ganancia de energía.

La enolasa elimina una molécula de H₂O, formando fosfoenolpiruvato (PEP) con alta energía fosfato.

Cede su fosfato al ADP, generando ATP y piruvato mediante la enzima piruvato quinasa.

En condiciones aerobias entra al ciclo de Krebs; sin oxígeno, participa en fermentación para regenerar NAD⁺.
