Explanation

This is key to minimize cognitive overload and to maintain a focus on the learning objectives. Think about possible distractions, too.

Think of different ways within the learning to self-assess and reinforce the learning. This can be with interactions like this or using other modes (voice, agents, etc).

One example would be the modality principle where printed words are converted to audio so that there's equal processing between the visual and auditory.

What we don't want is learning that is short-term, where it is not being transferred into long-term memory and used outside of the learning module.
