learn the cell parts with this map

by Diana Casillas
1 I can move the cell like a tail or a propeller. 2 I give the cell shape and rigidity. 3 I decide what enters and what leaves the cell. 4 I help the cell stick to surfaces or other cells. 5 I make what the cell needs to function (proteins) 6 Where the cell’s work happens. 7 I store the most important information of the cell

Explanation

Flagellum Helps the cell move.

Cell wall The cell wall gives the cell shape, support, and protection.

Plasma membrane The plasma membrane controls what enters and leaves the cell.

Pili Help the cell attach to surfaces or to other cells

Ribosome Ribosomes make proteins. They read genetic instructions and build proteins the cell needs to live and function.

Cytoplasm Holds all the cell parts in place and is where many chemical reactions happen.

Nucleoid (DNA) The nucleoid is where the DNA is found in prokaryotic cells. (no nucleus)
