Explanation

This plain is a flat, volcanic and fast-developing region and features significant agriculture, specifically sugar cane alongside tourist attractions.

The Moka Range is a mountain range that forms a semi-circle around Port Louis, the capital city of Mauritius. Pieter Both (820m) and Le Pouce (812m) are the two iconic mountains forming part of the Moka range.

It is a scenic, extinct crater lake volcano near Shamouny. This water-filled crater is one of the island's youngest, surrounded by lush vegetation, making it an excellent spot for nature photography

Rivière Tamarin flows through southwest Mauritius, starting at Mare aux Vacoas, the country’s largest lake. Stretching 12 km, it runs west, cascading down the Tamarind Falls before reaching the ocean near the village of Tamarin.

Trou aux Cerfs is a dormant volcanic crater above Curepipe with a lush, forested rim and a tiny lake below.

Trois Mamelles is a challenging, 600-meter high mountain in western Mauritius known for its three distinct, sharp peaks (East 571m, Centre 670m, West 560m) and dramatic, rocky ridgeline.

The Flacq plain is a major geographical feature located in the eastern district of Flacq in Mauritius, characterized as a low-lying, expansive area primarily utilized for agriculture. It is a key example of the "plains" (low-lying, relatively flat land) distinct from the central plateau, featuring areas of dark, scrubby, dry woodland and extensive sugar cane plantations.

The mountain rises to approximately 549 meters (1,801 ft) above sea level. The area is characterized by steep slopes, rocky sections near the summit, and, in some parts, agricultural land including sugar cane fields.

Rivière du Poste is the second longest river in Mauritius, stretching 22 km. It flows through the village of the same name, dividing it between the Savanne and Grand Port districts.

It is considered among the last volcano which was active in Mauritius, some 20,000 years ago. It is also among the smallest craters we have. The crater is full of shrubs and trees, including several types of plants.
