Explanation

T/AA DOC. Regional appellation (74% of production of all of T/AA) Mainly Chard/PG, but all styles (no sparkling). Many sub zones!

T/AA subzone (within Trentino). Complex and refined Marzemino grape in Vallagarina area.

T/AA subzone (within Trentino), 100% Moscato Giallo in Passito style!

T/AA subzone (within Trentino), very steep, terraced vinyards mainly Muller Thurgau, but also PN/Schiava.

T/AA subzone (within Trentino), mainly Rosso blends of Teroldego, Schiava, Lagrien, and some Bianchi blends.

DOC (red area) 100% Teroldego from the small rotaliano plains (sandy plain protected by mountain ranges). Riserva is 2y aging.

Purple+ Lines --- T/AA DOC, always sparkling wines (champagne method), minium 15m on lees (2y Vintage, 3y for Riserva). More alpine, acidity and freshness than Franciacorta (less autolytic). Mainly Chard, but also PN/PM/Pinot Blanc.

T/AA region, mainly within Trentino. “Holy Wine” mainly Nosiola grapes, air dried but also noble rote. Vinification can take 2-3y before reaching 12%ABV… then aged for 3y.

T/AA DOC, mainly varietals (must be 85%), except sparkling and white blends labled “Bianco”. Tho PB-PG / Chard-PB / Chard-PG are allowed. Also Cab-Lagrein, Merlot-Lagrein, Cab-Mert. All wines can be reserva after 2y aging (except Schiava, Muller Thurgau).

Alto Adige Subzone, in the town of Terlano. If it doesn’t have a varietal on the label it must be atleast 50% PB/Chardonnay, alos allows PG, Rielsing, SB, and Muller Thurgau.

Alto Adige Subzone, mainly Bianco/Rosso, Passito, and Vendemmia Tardiva (late harvest). Gewurtz, Kerner, MullerThurgau, PG, Reisling, Sylavner, SB… with some Schiava, Lagrein, PN. Bressanone is a smaller area within.
