Explicación

Tropical seco y húmedo. Zonas desérticas en La Guajira y zonas de ciénagas y humedales en el centro.

Variado según los pisos térmicos, desde el cálido en los valles bajos hasta el gélido en los nevados (como el Nevado del Ruiz).

Cálido y muy húmedo (ecuatorial), con lluvias constantes durante todo el año.

Gran parte es llanura selvática inundable, Alta densidad de manglares y selvas vírgenes.

Tropical de sabana, con épocas de sequía e inundaciones muy marcadas.
