Explicación

Ocurre cuando dos o más sustancias se combinan para formar un solo producto más complejo. Fórmula general: A+B→ AB Ejemplo: Formación de agua: 2H₂ + O₂ → 2H₂O

Es lo opuesto a la síntesis: un solo reactivo se rompe para formar dos o más productos simples. Fórmula general: AB→ A+B Ejemplo: Descomposición del agua oxigenada: 2H₂O₂ → 2H₂O+O₂

Un elemento toma el lugar de otro dentro de un compuesto. Puede ser simple o doble. Fórmula general: A+BC →AC+B Ejemplo: Zinc en ácido clorhídrico: Zn + 2HCl → ZnCl₂ + H₂

Se basa en la transferencia de electrones entre los reactivos: una sustancia pierde electrones (se oxida) y otra los gana (se reduce). Clave: Cambian los estados de oxidación. Ejemplo: La corrosión del hierro: 4Fe+3O₂→2Fe₂O₃

Una reacción específica entre un ácido y una base que produce siempre una sal y agua. Fórmula general: Ácido + Base→ Sal + Agua Ejemplo: HCl + NaOH→ NaCl + H₂O
