Explicação

O canal auditivo tem como função principal a condução e amplificação do som do ambiente até o tímpano, servindo também como uma barreira de proteção para as estruturas internas do ouvido.

A principal função do tímpano é converter ondas sonoras em vibrações mecânicas, transmitindo-as do ouvido externo para os ossículos do ouvido médio. Ele atua como uma barreira de proteção para o ouvido interno e amplifica o som, permitindo a audição.

A cóclea, popularmente conhecida como caracol devido ao seu formato em espiral, é uma estrutura essencial do ouvido interno localizada no osso temporal. A sua principal função é converter as vibrações sonoras (ondas mecânicas) captadas pelo ouvido externo em impulsos elétricos, que são enviados ao cérebro pelo nervo auditivo para serem interpretadas como som.

O nervo auditivo tem a função de transmitir os impulsos elétricos gerados na cóclea (ouvido interno) até ao cérebro, permitindo a interpretação dos sons.
