Explanation

Did you know...? India has six seasons according to the Hindu calendar. Each is two months long. Spring (Feb-March), summer (March-May), monsoon (June-Sept), autumn (Oct-Nov), and prevernal (Jan-Feb). However, there are only four season according to the India Meteorological Department. Winter (Dec-Feb), summer or pre-monsoon (March-June), south-west monsoon (June-Sept) and post-monsoon or north-east monsoon (Oct-Nov).
