Explicación

Located in Dolores Hidalgo, this parish is where Miguel Hidalgo gave the famous “Grito de Dolores” in 1810, marking the start of Mexico’s independence movement. Its baroque façade and historical importance make it a central attraction.

Originally a grain storage building, it became a fortress during the independence war. It is remembered for El Pípila’s heroic act of burning the door to allow insurgents entry.
