Explicación

Un cable de acero es un conjunto de alambres de metal trenzados en forma de espiral alrededor de un núcleo central. Esta unión forma una sola pieza muy fuerte que sirve para levantar, arrastrar o sostener pesos grandes sin romperse

Un torón es un grupo de alambres de acero enrollados en forma de espiral alrededor de un alambre central. Varios torones unidos forman la estructura principal de un cable de acero o sirven como refuerzo de alta resistencia.

alma de un cable de acero es el eje o núcleo central sobre el cual se trenzan los torones (cordones) exteriores. Funciona como su base de apoyo para mantener la forma redonda del cable, evitar que los alambres internos se aplasten entre sí y ayudar a repartir el peso de la carga de manera uniforme.
