Rigoberta Menchú Tum

Su nacimiento FUE / ESTUVO / PARECÍA el 9 de enero de 1959 en el municipio de Uspantán , Departamento de Quiché , Guatemala .
ERA / ESTABA / PARECÍA la hija de Vicente Menchú Pérez y Juana Tum Kótoja , dos personajes muy respetados en su comunidad porque ambos lucharon por las tierras que SON / ESTÁN / PARECEN propiedad ancestral de las comunidades indígenas . " Mi madre ES / ESTÁ / PARECE experta en los saberes de los partos " , decía Rigoberta a todos cuando ESTABA / ERA / PARECÍA pequeña .
Por todo esto , Rigoberta aprendió a respetar y querer a la naturaleza . " La naturaleza ES / ESTÁ / PARECE
muda pero , en realidad , nos habla en cada hoja , en cada creciente del río . " , explica Rigoberta .
De pequeña también experimentó la pobreza extrema que ESTÁ / ES / PARECE la realidad de los indígenas mayas todavía hoy en día .
Su Premio Nóbel de la Paz en 1992 ES / ESTÁ / PARECE basado en gran medida en su libro " YO PAREZCO / SOY / ESTOY Rigoberta Menchú " donde narra la represión de los indígenas mayas por parte de la dictadura militar en Guatemala . Ella y su familia han vivido momentos muy duros a causa de sus luchas políticas por los derechos humanos .
Los Menchú PARECEN / ESTÁN / SON miembros del grupo indígena Quiché - Maya .
Los derechos de la minoría Quiché - Maya HAN SIDO / HAN ESTADO / HAN PARECIDO olvidados por siglos y esta es la razón de que la lucha tenga mucha fuerza hoy en día que esta comunidad está desapareciendo . La lengua ES / ESTÁ / PARECE el quiché que también ES / ESTÁ / PARECE extinguiéndose .
Desde 1991 Rigoberta ES / ESTÁ / PARECE Embajadora de Buena Voluntad de la ONU .
