Au XIVème siècle, les Britanniques ont choisi le 14 février, jour de la Saint-Valentin, pour fêter les amoureux.

C'était au départ une fête religieuse et romantique.

C'est devenu ensuite une fête commerciale.

En effet, les commerçants ont "inventé" des coutumes pour vendre leurs chocolats et leurs pâtisseries, leurs roses rouges et leurs cartes postales.

Et cela marche encore car "le monde a soif d'amour", selon le génial Arthur Rimbaud.
