This scan only works with WordPress. Daily, the scan will look for malware & spam within the database of the WordPress CMS. The scanner will attempt to remove what it finds, but it does have limitations. If the scanner doesn't remove the malware/spam and ES does not manually clean the database, this could lead to you being blacklisted and/or suspended by the host provider.

This scan reads the core CMS, plugins, and themes of WordPress and Joomla in order to see if anything is outdated. The scan will alert the customer to any vulnerabilities they have due to being outdated. If left unresolved, the vulnerabilities could be exploited by a cyber criminal. The best course of action is to have the customer update the outdated component of the CMS.

Crawls the rendered website code looking for malware and malicious links. This scan will only alert the customer, it will not remove the malicious software. This scan will also check 3rd party DB to see if you are blacklisted on any of them. If not resolved, the site can be blacklisted or suspended by the host provider.

This scan uses VPT (Vulnerability Penetration Techniques) on the website's entry/input fields and URL bars to identify if the fields and the URL bars are vulnerable to these type of hacks. If not resolved, the vulnerabilities could be exploited.

This scanner works with many CMS platforms. The scanner will see if the core CMS is out-of-date. The scanner will attempt to patch any vulnerable coding due to the core CMS being outdated, but does have limitations. If the vulnerabilities are not patched or addressed, it could be taken advantage of by a hacker.

Uses FTP to scan the files of the website looking for known malware, backdoor files, malware scripts, and if the files have been added, deleted or modified since the last scan. If it finds any malicious content, it will attempt to remove it unless doing so will break the site's functionality, the malware is a link or it is not recognized by SiteLock. If not resolved, the site can be blacklisted or suspended by the host provider.

This scan assess the site's composition, complexity, and popularity. Based off the over 500 variables this scan looks at in those categories, it will let the customer know their likelihood of their site being compromised.
