Fibres have different . Some are weak , some are strong , some are short , some are , some absorb water , some don't ! When a is made from a certain fibre , it will possess properties that are directly to the fibre it is made from . To optimise the properties of fibres and yarns , fibres are often together . Fibre blending is carried out to the advantageous properties of fibres and to minimise the properties . For example , cotton and polyester are blended to make a shirt that creases , while still absorbing some .
