The place where goods kept in warehouses are stored at a set temperature – usually room temperature. "The boxes need to be stored in the ambient temperature store".

Satellite navigation: a system for finding the best way to a place using information from satellites. It is often found in cars. "The satnav directed us to the bridge, but it was closed so we had to take an alternative route."

A set of printed lines on a product’s label that tells a computer information about it such as its price. "With self checkouts in many supermarkets you can scan the bar codes yourself and pay so you do not need to queue up at a till".

Full trailer load: the volume of goods that can be transported in one standard container. This is sometimes referred to as full container load. "The only way we can make this work financially is if we ensure that we have an FTL."

To send someone or something somewhere. "The goods are dispatched from a warehouse".

Global positioning system: a system for finding exactly where you are anywhere in the world using satellites (= objects that go around the earth high in the sky). "When they got lost, they used the GPS to find the way back to the town centre."

The place where products are put together. "Once all the items have been picked, each delivery needs to be put together and checked in the staging area."
