Als je inademt , moet de lucht eerst door je of door je mond . Daarna komt de lucht in de , die zich vertakt in allemaal kleinere buisjes . Als je de buisjes met lucht in je long heel sterk vergroot , zie je dat de buisjes aan het einde hebben , deze noemen we . Bloedvaatjes lopen vlak langs deze longblaasjes . Het hart pompt door die bloedvaatjes . Als je inademt komt er lucht en dus in de longblaasjes terecht . Zuurstofdeeltjes gaan door de wandjes van de longblaasjes heen . Daarna gaan ze met het bloed mee . Al dat bloed komt terecht in het hart . Het pompt het zuurstofrijke bloed naar alle delen van het lichaam . Als het bloed weer terugstroomt naar het hart , neemt het koolzuurgasdeeltjes mee . Bloed met koolzuurgasdeeltjes komt tenslotte bij de longblaasjes . Nu gebeurt hetzelfde als met de zuurstof , maar dan omgekeerd . De koolzuurgasdeeltjes gaan door de wand in de longblaasjes . In je lichaam gebeurt alles tegelijkertijd . gaat naar binnen , koolzuurgas gaat naar .
