Las plantas producen su alimento mediante la fotosíntesis . Para hacer la fotosíntesis las plantas necesitan de cuatro elementos : agua , aire , tierra , y sol .
Haciendo fotosíntesis las plantas sobreviven .
La raíz de la planta o el árbol absorbe el , que se encuentra debajo de la tierra . Ésta sube por unos tubos que hay dentro del tallo hasta llegar a las hojas . En las hojas se encuentra la clorofila , que es una sustancia que atrapa la luz del .
Todos los vegetales además absorben un gas llamado dióxido de a través de unos diminutos agujeros que hay en las hojas y luego liberan al aire .
Con el dióxido de carbono , el agua y la luz del sol , las plantas fabrican el que necesitan para vivir , Todo este proceso por medio del cual los vegetales fabrican su propio se llama .
