Visigoths were fair-skinned, tall and strong

They came central Asia

Alaric a Roman Emperor, allowed the Visigoths to enter and settle in Hispania

In AD 410 the Visigoth King Alaric invaded Rome

After that, as the Roman Empire was weak, the Visigoths and other Barbarian tribes (Suebi, Alans and Vandals), invaded Hispania

Then, the Visigoths conquered the other three tribes, so they didn´t control most of the Iberian Peninsula

The Visigoths couldn´t choose their kings

When a king was elected, he was killed after some years

So, during the 300 years that the Visigoths were in Spain, they had more than 30 Kings!

They established Cordoba as the Capital of Spain and copied some Roman traditions: costumes, laws, language...

The king Recaredo I converted the kingdom to Catholicism

The Visigothic society was divided into 2 parts: the king and peasants
