It also prompts critical thinking with the problems around diagnosis and making assumptions, particulary in the community. by Clarie Miles 1 Severe and enduring mental disorders (e.g. bi-polar disorder, psychosis) 2 Eating Disorders 3 Mild to moderate anxiety (including worrying, panic attacks) or depression 4 Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD)/ Borderline personality disorder (BPD)/ post trauma syndrome/ Emotional Intensity Disorder (EID) 5 Moderate to severe anxiety and depression (including PTSD, OCD, GAD, Health Anxiety) 6 Reactive stress symptoms of other disorders plus Self-harming or other risky behaviours Difficulty maintaining relationships low mood/ high anxiety Withdrawal & avoidance Impacts life activities Lasts 3+ months Can be following a life event but with a feeling of ‘stuckness’ all symptoms of mild to moderate but lasting longer or more severe. May not have sought help before May disclose thoughts of suicide or self-harm Occasional tiredness, irritability, withdrawn from activities After life event (e.g. job or marriage difficulties/ birth) Comes & goes, lasts weeks behaviors may be hidden. You may notice under/ overweight, avoidance of eating in public, or have family members report concerns. Symptoms of moderate to severe plus: Significant disruption to thinking/ talking/ acting. May have distinct episodes. Often medication is required
