About this activity

Hi, I'm Lily! I live with my mom and my grandma, and we all have to take medicine to stay healthy. Every morning, I take a little pink antihistamine pill for my allergies. It helps me breathe better and stops me from sneezing so much. After dinner, my mom takes a white tablet called "Lisinopril," which is an antihypertensive medicine for her high blood pressure. It keeps her heart healthy. And before bed, my grandma takes a round blue tablet called "Ibuprofen," which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) for her arthritis. It helps her feel less sore in her joints.

We each have our own doses and times to take our medicine. I take mine with breakfast, mom takes hers after dinner, and grandma takes hers before bedtime. We always make sure to take the right amount at the right time to keep ourselves healthy.

Sometimes, our medicine gives us side effects, but we know how to deal with them. After I take my allergy pill, I sometimes feel a bit sleepy, but it goes away fast. Mom sometimes feels dizzy after her blood pressure tablet, but resting helps her feel better. And grandma's arthritis pill sometimes upsets her stomach, but a snack before taking it usually helps.

Taking our medicine properly and on time is super important for us to stay healthy and happy together as a family!
