La matriz celular o sustancia fundamental del tejido conectivo esta compuesta por : ( ) son cadenas largas de carbohidratos que contienen aminoazucares los cuales regulan la hidratacion del tejido al unirse a moleculas de agua , lo que proporciona resistencia a la compresion y mantienen la estructura e integridad de la matriz extracelular . , " proteo " = proteina y " " = glucosa " " = polimero de glucosa su funcion es actuar como lubricante , regulador de la hidratacion y participe en la señalización celular , " o " = azucar y . son proteinas que contienen cadenas de carbohidratos unidos . participan en la union celular , señalizacion intercelular y organizacion del tejido , las fibra son proteinas fibrosa que esta en abundancia , es un componente principal en la matriz extracelular . dan resistencia mecanica y soporte al tejido ayudando a mantener su integridad y resistencia a la tracción , fibra estas forman estan en los organos linfohematopoyeticos como ( los ganglios , bazo , timo , medula osea , higado ) estan compuestas por colageno tipo III su funcion es hacer de sosten en el tejido adiposo y rodean a las celulas musculares lisas dando la funcion de sosten " stroma " a un tejido especifico , fibra formadas por pueden elongar , estan en organos que requieren por ejemplo : arterias , ligamentos vertebrales , pulmones . son formadas por fibroblastos y celulas musculares lisas . resisten el calor y la accion de enzimas proteolíticas comunes .
