They are low in calories and naturally sweet and their juices are good sources of water also different fruits contain different vitamins so it is important to eat a variety of fruits such as: mangoes, papayas, melon, and citrus fruits like: oranges and grape fruits are high in vitamins.
As we know the fruits are very important in our life, moreover in our department there are several fruits, between these we have some fruits that just we can find here in our department (Chocó,) these are: Borojó, chontaduro, marañon, lulo.
Borojó: this is a good exotic fruit that we find in our department, with this fruit people can make many things such as: juices, ice creams and wine, etc.
Lulo: it is a fruit that looks like a tomato; its color is yellow and green, these are filled with seed and acid but pleasant taste.
Chontaduro: it is a globe shaped fruit its color changes from yellow to red and is very exotic, this fruit is an essential component of our Pacific Colombian Culture and it has enormous benefits in proteins, oils, vitamins and minerals.
Marañon: this is a delicious fruit that we can find in different places of our town besides its color is red outside and white inside.
