La energía es la suma de la energía y la . La energía está vinculada a la posición de los cuerpos . Depende de la altura , como se demuestra en la siguiente fórmula :

Ep = m . g . h

La energía es igual a la masa del cuerpo multiplicada por la gravedad y por la altura a la que se encuentra desde un centro de referencia . Por ejemplo , desde el suelo .

La energía de un cuerpo está determinada por la velocidad que tenga este y su masa . La fórmula es :

Ec = ½ . m . v2

La energía es igual a un medio del producto entre la masa y el cuadrado de la velocidad .

Por otra parte como se ha mencionado , la energía es la suma entre la energía y .

EM = Ep + Ec

Este valor siempre es constante en sistemas conservativos , es decir donde hay ausencia de fuerzas externas como podrían ser las fuerzas de rozamiento .
Por lo tanto , si la energía disminuye , la energía cinética aumentara . De la misma manera si la disminuye , la energía potencial aumentara .
