قرر البريطانيون ضم قطر إلى اتفاقيات الهدنة البحرية الموقعة سنة 1835م

اتهم البريطانيون أهل قطر بالتعاطف مع المهاجرين من الساحل العماني، وكانت من ضمن الإجراءات التي اتخذتها بريطانيا

ورغم الإجراءات البريطانية الثلاثة، لم تتوقف الهجمات في البحر، حيث حمل البريطانيون شيخ الدوحة المسؤولية جزئياً عن الأعمال العدائية
