Friedrich Fröbel born on April 21 , 1782 and was a German pedagogue of preschool education and the concept of kindergarten , " the pedagogue of God . " His father Johann Jakob Fröbel , who a pastor of the Lutheran church , and his mother Jacobine Eleonore Friederike , who when Fröbel only 9 months old . Fobel discovered his as a teacher . In 1805 , in Frankfurt , he met Gruner , who ran a school to the Pestalozzi method and him a taught position . In 1840 , he the first German kindergarten in Blankenburg . He established respect for the activity by the child in a space of freedom and in contact with nature . Froebel various school materials to stimulate creative activity and observation . They are known as gifts and occupations , and their objective is to children to work . He finally on June 21 , 1852 .
