3

The child's family are key team members. They should be involved as decision-makers, providers and receivers of information, and participants in the daily activities within the program. Family-professional partnerships and involvement are key.

Specific skills are assessed for each child to measure their progress across different environments and contexts. Families and educators can monitor and note assessment progress.

6

Scope and sequence are a big part of analyzing outcomes. The team summarizes information that was previously collected during assessments. Outcomes should be functional, naturally embedded, specific, and measurable. Parents are involved in this.

7

These are created by educators and families after outcomes are established. They should occur within the natural environment and are preferential to each child. They can be implemented in large groups, small groups, or one-to-one instruction.

8

How the activities are implemented in the natural environment. Both educators and families are involved in this.

9

10

These are different team members that may help children. They include AT specialists, audiologists, dietitians, OTs, PTs, nurses, psychologists, SLPs, social workers, orientation and mobility specialists, and teachers of deaf/hoh/visually impaired.

12

This is typically done with one general education teacher and one special education teacher working together. They share the responsibilities of planning and assessment of students. There are six common arrangements used in this setting.

13

These educators are not physically in the classroom the whole day. These teachers may develop, model, and implement interventions that address specified learning outcomes.

14

This is a big challenge to working with teams. It is important to determine which methods work the best for each team. This is key to successfully collaborating with a team.

15

The scheduling needs of all team members must be considered. It is important to have regular planning time as well as professional development time. It is also important to consider time when working with families. Plenty of advanced notice can help.

16

Conflict is an inevitable aspect of working as a team. It is important to learn ways to manage conflict so it does not affect team functioning or child outcomes.
